The Visayas is a large area that contains a myriad of wonderful dive sites for divers of all abilities. Bohol, Boracay, Malapascua and Cebu are the most popular areas and therefore contain the better facilities. Leyte, Dumaguete and Pandan are also worth visiting as they have some stunning locations that remain pristine and unspoiled. There are some large cities to visit around the region and many are very well developed for the tourist market. Resorts, hotels and restaurants are of a high standard although there are several budget options available. Small hostels and beach hut operations take care of the backpacker market.
